Drop-off

Drop-off steps

  1. You, as the consignor, will need to choose a DROP-OFF TIME SLOT to bring all your items to the Pinching Pennies sale location early in the week of the sale. (You must be registered to select a drop-off time.)
  2. You will then bring all your items to a check-in station/table where a Penny Pincher team member will begin the QUALITY CHECK. They will be inspecting all your items to ensure they meet our quality standards. If any items do not meet our quality standards or are items that are not permitted, they will be sent home with you. 
  3. After passing the quality check, you will begin PLACING YOUR ITEMS in the appropriately designated areas. (racks, bins, tables) Everything will be clearly marked to ensure organization. There will also be Penny Pinchers helping with this process. 
  4. When all your items are placed on the floor, you will SIGN A CONTRACT, and that's it! We will try to make this as quick as possible by having Penny Pincher team members helping you along the way! Plan to spend 30-60 minutes for drop-off. 

**NOTE: Our quality check is a very important part of our sale. It helps ensure that the items we have available are of high quality for our shoppers, including you! We don't accept anything with stains, rips, tears, pilling, missing buttons/zippers, etc. We are also checking tag and hanger placement. Please ensure your items are CLEAN. If any of your items are rejected, please do not be offended. We receive thousands of items and to make the sale as successful as possible, we have to be picky! It's not personal!

to ensure a smooth and quick drop-off:

  • Plan to arrive a few minutes prior to your scheduled time.
  • Have your first load of items in the building and ready to go at your scheduled check-in time. 
  • Group your clothing items by category as best as you can so that putting them on the floor is a quicker process. (i.e. group boy clothing together and by size and bring in separate from girl clothing-being separated will save the sorting and make it faster.)
  • Put your items in the correct designated areas with the help of our Penny Pincher team to ensure the best odds at selling your items. 
  • Set up all your large items such as pack-n-plays, bouncers, etc. Buyers want to see your items, not the box.
  • If you have a large volume of items, we encourage you to bring help to make the process go quicker for you.
